<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Perhaps the most interesting thing about this psycho-thriller is that it was the first to use subliminal imagery (briefly flashed messages and scary images designed to influence the subconscious mind) to make the film spookier. It was called "Psychorama" and was so successful, that the government became concerned and banned it later that year.
The story itself centers on a newlywed couple as they become accustomed to their new abode, a big old scary house. It is the same house that has filled the woman's terrifying nightmares for most of her life. The film is also titled World Dies Screaming.
